How to prepare your watercolour travel set

This watercolour set comes with empty watercolour pans, you can fill these when you are on the road or prepare them before you depart.

Filling the watercolour pans 

The first thing you need to know about watercolour pans is that they come in two sizes, one being a full-size and one being a half size. These pans clip neatly into the travelling palette.  The pan holder comes out. This means that when you're painting, you can have a good-sized palette to work with.

When you are filling watercolour pans, so it's important to only fill the pan halfway at first. This is to help with adhesion while it's drying.  Another little trick is using a toothpick to work the watercolour paint right into the corners again to help with bonding and stop the cake from falling out upon drying.   Leave to dry for 24 to 48 hours. Once the half-filled pans have dried, you can now t top the pan up to the fill line
