Directions for use

Face & Body supporter sticks are particularly useful because they allow a greater level of control – you do not need to have the same steady hand required when using a brush. Our supporter sticks work very much like a traditional markers, but they are much less likely to irritate sensitive skin and are easily removed with soap and water, making them perfect for use with children.

Use Derivan Face & Body supporter sticks to paint the face and body, avoid eyes, mouth, nasal passages and broken skin. Do not use if you suffer from skin allergies. Remove with soap & water. Suitable clothing should be worn as staining may occur.

When you are transforming your child into a proud colourful supporter -some of the considerations you may want is a product that is easy to apply, has good colour and coverage. However, you should also carefully consider and be concerned with the things that you can’t see. What exactly is in the product? Is it safe to use on sensitive young skin?  As of July 2013 a new global standard for face paint safety, called the EN71-3, was introduced via the Toys Safety Directive. Basically, this standard and testing ensures that the level of toxic materials used in the manufacture are limited to safe levels in a range of products sold for children including face paints.

So, what is the difference to previous standards, how does it affect previous standards?

Harmful ingredients have long been regulated in paint for children’s products, but these new regulations now require even lower levels and extend to more than just paint and toys. The new EN71-3 standard is in addition to previous cosmetic standards enforced in Australia and internationally for any product used on skin. All Derivan Face & Body Paint products have passed these new conditions set by the EN71-3 so when you use Derivan Face and Body Paints products, you can be certain that not only are you using a quality Australian made range, but also one that is manufactured to the highest most recent national and international safety standards.
